Explore the scenery and the back country of South Dakota. This is such a special place where you get a feeling just being one with nature out here. These images of wild buffalo and wild horses are an amazing thing to experience at Theodore Roosevelt National Park along with the different colors from the Aspen trees in Spearfish Canyon which is in The Black Hills of South Dakota.

Spearfish Canyon lodge lies right in the middle of the canyons in the perfect spot. I can’t recommend that place enough for anyone who visits this area of The Black Hills. The Dakotas are not a place where you’re going to get top notch food, but you will get a ton of wonderful places to visit from a nature’s perspective if you want to just get out in the elements.

There are a few sunsets and outdoor shots of raw land and oil rigs from North Dakota where there is a lot less to see. If you want to take a vacation to the Dakotas, I’d highly recommend South Dakota. The Badlands and Mt. Rushmore are two other scenic destinations that I didn’t get a chance to see, but are very interesting places to see that isn’t far from the Black Hills area.
